We all do we do it
Say the wrong things, act like an idiot, turn down a promotion, put things off, fall out with friends. It’s like we’re not on our own side. It’s annoying, frustrating and upsetting.
It’s self-sabotage and we do it because at some time your unconscious will have laid down the message that backing off and not taking risks is the best way to keep you safe. You want to do things but something kicks in and you find yourself saying ‘No’ to something you really want to do or ruining an otherwise lovely experience or relationship.
It’s not helpful is it?
The self-doubt, the limiting beliefs, the negative chatter, the strong emotions and feelings can be excruciating and really get in the way of what you want to do, all you want to be. It stops you being the best version of you, doesn’t it?
